THE FRENCH-JAPANESE INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL OF TOKYO

LIBRARY

The EIFJ Tokyo Library

A library which is open continuously to students

from preschool to Grade 12

Reading: a global cause!

At EIFJ Tokyo, unlike in most international schools, the library is freely accessible to all students, from kindergarten to 12th grade, at any time of the day and year (excluding class time). Thus, students who wish can read when they arrive at school in the morning, during recess, after lunch, during the second recess, and during educational childcare after school. During weekends and school holidays, the library plans to be open to families.

EIFJ Tokyo Library, currently consisting of nearly 800 books, warmly welcomes any book donation, mainly books in English, French, Japanese, but books in other languages such as Spanish, German, Italian, Chinese and Korean are welcome, too!

  • We welcome as well comics, magazines, specialized books (art, sports etc.), board games, and more.
  • The average capacity of the library, from the summer of 2022, will be close to 10,000 books (expansion in space of 50m² open during weekends as well).
  • EIFJ Tokyo Library also offers to house all or part of a private or public collection that would require more storage space.
  • EIFJ Tokyo Library can also purchase your books & board games.

Write an email to contact@eifj.org for any information. EIFJ Tokyo thanks all the donors for their extreme generosity! Also we are lookking for volunteers and compensated librarians to organize and manage the Library.
