Tokyo's French-Japanese International School does not receives any financial support from the national or local governments. It relies on tuition fees to cover all expenses. The school is subject to competition, in a country when two French international schools have a convention with the AEFE, hence welcoming any financial donations helping to enhance EIFJ reputable programs.

The Association of Parents of Students

EIFJ Parents' Association plays a very active role in the French, French-Japanese and international community of the school. Aiming at co-managing the school, the families of enrolled students participate actively in school life outside the classroom.

The Association of Parents of Students of EIFJ Tokyo has become an “1901 Legal Association”, legalized and recognized by French authorities and attached to the FAPEE, the Federation of Parents’ Associations of French educational institutions abroad. EIFJ Tokyo praises the action of its President, Hugo Catherine, and its team, thanks to whom the voice of parents counts and must count regarding the dynamism and excellence of French international schools!

Project: the Board of Governors

Comprising 15 French, Japanese, French-Japanese and international governors (administrators), the Founder and the Head of School, the Board could oversee, in close collaboration with the Head of School and the Founder, the financial and administrative operations of the school, and sets strategic development guidelines. Its fundamental principles are well-being and excellence in education for all, justice, integrity, transparency, solidarity with parents seeking employment, business initiatives, French-Japanese relations and increased economic, diplomatic and cultural influence.

Governors (directors) are selected on the basis of their company's participation in the contribution plan, their expertise in Japan or in the fields of education, development, human resources, law and finance, and their representativeness of the French, Franco-Japanese and international community in Japan. They may also be parents of students. Council members volunteer their time and receive no financial benefits from the school. The Board recruits a Principal, who is remunerated according to results and the Board's strategic orientations. The Board holds plenary meetings each year, and may set up various committees that may be held separately (development, finance, HR, communications, etc.).
